In full summer mode here a few days after the 4th of July holiday. Here's the attire for the day, an old (almost 25 years) cotton twill shirt from L.L. Bean and a chino shorts from Land's End that are at least 10 years old. The shirt is actually more orange than it appears here.
Frayed in places and no longer suitable to wear away from the house, but but still works for some light yardwork outside late this morning and a large glass of mango juice over ice on the back porch afterwards. Tucked in, of course. A navy and orange ribbon belt from Leather Man or C.C. Prep completes the picture although it is not visible here.
In other news, The Young Master earned his red belt in Tae Kwon Do last Saturday. The Grand Duchess and I are so proud of his focus and determination over the last 3.5 years. With any luck, we will have a black belt in our midst this time next year. And possibly (hopefully) assisting his instructors when he turns 14 in the fall of 2023. Cross your fingers and toes.
