In the mid-80s Fahrenheit today, so time to break out the Madras shorts! Ok, not strictly in accordance with the old rule about Memorial Day. But I'm a gauche rube who knows no better. Shuttling the Young Master to and from an after-school tutoring appointment in any case, which gave me an excuse to enjoy a small late afternoon cup of fresh coffee around the corner and thumb through yet another new title on generative artificial intelligence. Hey, I need all the help I can get.

With a rare exception, such as your J Press shirt order a while back, you rarely mention brand names. I figure it is on purpose, a verbal take on a logo aversion, but if that is the reason I also figured you’d appreciate my noticing. On the other hand, is that aspect so obvious that I should not be noticing. :) JDV
ReplyDeleteKind of like politics, sex, money, and religion, it's preferable to avoid too much overt display, or discussion of brands and labels. On further thought though, we do stray pretty close to those here at Classic Style from time to time without actually coming right out and saying so. My late mother always used to tell us kids, "It doesn't matter if others know it, or not. You know it. That's all that matters." She raised two supremely self-assured, self-confident kids. It drives the Grand Duchess crazy now.
